Steamboat Partnership
505 Southwestern® announced its ongoing partnership with Alterra Mountain Company’s Steamboat Ski Resort that will give guests more options for enjoying delicious local food while on the mountain. For the third year running, 505 Southwestern® green chile and salsas will be adding bold flavor to more than a dozen food destinations across Steamboat Ski Resort. Back by popular demand, there will also be convenient “grab-and-ski” options, including the famous Taco Beast featuring 505 Southwestern®.
“505 Southwestern® has always been known for its premium green chile, sauces, and salsas, and Steamboat’s guests from near and far are in for a treat when they visit Steamboat this year,” said Ryan Blanchard, Director of Brand partnerships at Alterra Mountain Company. “This partnership is a perfect pairing of two iconic local brands.”
In addition to 505 Southwestern® products being integrated into restaurant menus across the resort, the Steamboat Taco Beast, a snow-cat-turned-food-truck, will feature 505SW™ atop its trail tacos, offering a convenient and quick option. The Taco Beast announces its location daily via social media, much like food truck counterparts down on the streets of major cities, and often sells out of the popular tacos at lunch.
“From our passionate customers here in Colorado to the guests that come from all over the world to visit Steamboat, people everywhere are falling in love with 505SW™ green chile as their favorite new condiment,” said Ted Gardner, President of 505 Southwestern®. “Our products are an ideal fit with food offerings at ski resorts, and we especially love how Steamboat’s innovative Taco Beast will feature 505SW™ on its tacos and burritos.”
Three of 505 Southwestern’s® most popular products will be featured throughout the resort including Salsa Verde, Restaurant Style Salsa, and the flagship Flame Roasted Hatch Green Chile. The products will be available at the following locations:
- Four Points Lodge
- Gnarly Charly’s Pizza
- Hot Mess
- Haymaker
- Stoker
- Thunderhead
- Go Joe’s Express
- Timber & Torch
- Steamboat Grand
- Taco Beast
